Farm to Cup Story

From Farm to Cup: The Morning Oil Coffee Co. Journey

At Morning Oil Coffee Co., we believe in more than just making great coffee. We believe in a connection that spans continents—from the family farms in Latin America to the hardworking hands of American workers. Our coffee is a story of sustainability, craftsmanship, and a commitment to quality, delivered straight from the farm to your cup.

Sourced with Integrity: Family Farms, Sustainable Practices

Our journey begins with family farms in Latin America that have been cultivating coffee beans for generations. These small, sustainable farms use environmentally friendly practices that not only protect the land but also ensure the highest quality beans. Each bean in our blends is single-sourced, meaning they come directly from these trusted farms, preserving the unique flavors of each region.

A Partnership Built on Trust: Onyx Coffee Importers

To ensure that every bean we roast meets our high standards, we partner with Onyx Coffee, a family-owned business with over 50 years of experience working directly with farming families in Latin America. Onyx’s long-standing relationships with these farmers ensure fair trade, ethical sourcing, and the highest quality beans. By working directly in the countries of origin, they help foster a connection between the Latin American families who grow the coffee and the American families who enjoy it.

Craft Roasted in Bend, Oregon: A Family Tradition

Once the beans reach Bend, Oregon, they are carefully roasted by a local family with deep roots in the coffee industry. This family-owned roaster, which also runs the renowned Bellatazza coffee brand, has been employing and supporting Guatemalan families for over 20 years. Their expert craftsmanship ensures that every batch of coffee is roasted to perfection, bringing out the best flavors in each bean.

From Our Roastery to Your Home: American-Made, American-Delivered

After roasting, we pack and ship all of our coffee right from Bend, Oregon. Our entire process—from roasting to shipping—is carried out in the U.S., using American products and teams. We’re proud to deliver coffee that’s been crafted with care by skilled hands, whether it’s being enjoyed by an American worker on a job site or in the homes of hardworking immigrant families.

Connecting Latin Farmers with American Workers

At Morning Oil Coffee Co., we’re more than just coffee roasters—we’re bridge builders. We believe in connecting the Latin American families who grow and harvest our beans with the American workers who fuel their days with our coffee. Every sip of Morning Oil Coffee represents the labor, skill, and dedication of families from farm to cup, bringing together cultures and communities across the globe.

We’re temporarily pausing online orders as we roll out what’s ahead: new coffees, a new roaster, new bags, a brick-and-mortar location, and a smoother, more powerful experience for subscriptions and online orders.

At the same time, we’re launching our newest work supporting the trades.

Big things are in motion. We’ll be back shortly—and better than ever.
